SpexLite Bag Fill Testing
Purpose: The goal of this test was to evaluate various Spexlite shooting bag fill options to identify fill types that may be of interest to shooters based on their specific application such as Hunting, or PRS style competitions.
Testing Setup:
Bags: All bags were evaluated using the same volume of fill to help create a consistent comparison between bags. The bags use were all brand new Armageddon gear Shmedium bags.
Rifle: I used my personal PRS rifle for this test which is approximately ~22lbs in a MPA Matrix Chassis.
Simulated Position/Target: I placed each bag in the same orientation I would use them in a match. The support in use was a workbench in my shop looking out the rear of the shop at a target 100 yards away using a bent over standing position like we would see in a match such as shooting off a fencepost, railing, etc. The target used to measure “wobble” was .1x.1mil grid with circular middle aiming point. This is the same target we user for tuner testing and available for users to download at the following link. (https://www.kineticsecuritysolutions.com/pages/printable-tuning-target)
Results / Data: I ran each bag through the scenario above in random order a combination of 5 times and averaged the data for the results provided here. The results below are only meant to provide example uses for each bag where the combination of weight vs stability aligned to the potential needs of the application. Results have been provide to show both the individual movement in a singular direction as well as the total movement +- a shooter could expect at 100 yards.
